MTS to invest 1 bln rbl in digitalization of Kostroma reg by 2022

MOSCOW, Aug 27 (PRIME) -- Mobile operator MTS will invest over 1 billion rubles till the end of 2021 in digitalization of the Kostroma Region on the Volga, the company said on Thursday in a statement.

“Together with the government of the Kostroma Region we picked the most urgent digitalization issues for the region -- tourism, agriculture, and housing and public utilities. MTS offered projects to automate processes, improve effectiveness of the industries, and enhance the living standards and economic growth of the region,” MTS CEO Alexei Kornya said.

MTS and the regional government signed an agreement on strategic partnership.
